Maysuns is a high-octane alternative rock band from Alexandria, VA. Built on grit and heart, the group has carved out a distinct sound that’s as genuine as it is explosive. With a signature blend of intensity and melody, their songs grab you and don’t let go, taking you on a journey through powerful rhythms and raw emotion.

The band’s journey began in 2019, when still teenagers and formerly known as Hanoi Ragmen, they self-released their first EP, Game. Their 2022 album, The Oldlight, released by Baffin Records, earned them two DC Wammie Music Awards for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song for Foolhearted. In 2023, the band hit the road, bringing their high-energy live shows to colleges up and down the coast and playing sold-out shows at iconic venues in New York City and Washington D.C. While logging more than 100 live performances, they continued to evolve and create new music.

The band’s new chapter began in 2024 as Maysuns, with the self-release of two new singles, Silencer and Flatiron, and their EP, Coloso. The Maysuns catalog is a sonic playground, where rock lives alongside blues, funk, soaring ballads and dance-ready pop. Maysuns music is a testament to their good chemistry, determination, passion, and relentless pursuit of authentic expression. The band is currently in the studio recording their next full-length album, set to be released in early 2026.
